Due to a migraine headache, my participation in Willow’s poetry prompt will not be effective today. I hope to have something for you soon.
Thank you for visiting.
Please stop by Willow of Willow Manor’s new blog-venture Willow’s Magpie Tales to read other efforts.
Willow over at Willow Manor, posted a response to a very intriguing meme the other day. Someone had challenged her to list her favourite films from A to Z. Being a bit of a film buff myself, I could not resist taking up that particular gauntlet and doing a list of my own.
A few difficulties presented themselves while I attempted to do this: first of all I wanted to do a list that was exclusively Foreign, but this proved next to impossible, so I decided to combine Forein and English-speaking films with the result being that I have missed a number of films that are essential to my movie-watching. Hitchcock is not represented on this list and I am a big Hitchcock fan. Musicals are non-existent except for one and I own a bunch of them.
I could probably compose a list just made up of thrillers/suspense films because that’s the genre I like the best.
In any case, here is my list of combined Foreign favourites, Classics and a few oddities thrown in. This doesn’t truly represent my taste, but it does present some of the best films I’ve seen to date and ones I would happily watch over and over again.
What are your favourites? Do you watch Foreign films at all, or do you have a difficulty with subtitles? Tell us your thoughts.

Here’s a little tribute to my friend Willow at the Willow Manor. Thirty-one years ago today, she and her wonderful husband, WT, tied the knot. In honour of this occasion, here’s a classic clip from the Flintstones. I apologize in advance if you can’t get this out of your head for the rest of the day/week/month.
